Pitiful! 17 individuals kicked the bucket in a street mishap in Kwara state (Nigeria)



On Thursday, 17 people lost their lives at Bacita intersection on Ilorin-Jebba-Mokwa Road in Kwara when a 18-seater transport and a verbalized DAF truck conveying compartment impacted. 

Observers said that the mishap was because of speeding and perilous driving as the two vehicles had head-on crash at a curve along the roadway. 

The source said that while 17 travelers in the transport were executed, two inhabitants of the explained vehicle endured different degrees of wounds. 

Head of Tasks of the Government Street Security Corps Kwara direction, Mr Udeme Eshiet, affirmed the episode. 

He clarified that the DAF truck was going towards Jebba, in the Kwara North Locale, while the transport was coming to Ilorin, the state capital, from the Northern area of the nation when the accident happened. 

Eshiet approached drivers to be increasingly cautious while driving on the country's interstates during blustery season to check avoidable mishaps.
