Adolescent Sentenced To 8 Weeks In Prison For Traffic Violation

A Magistrates' Court in Minna on Friday condemned an 18-year-old, Yusuf Mohammed, to about two months in jail for disregarding traffic rules.

The police accused Mr Mohammed of four tallies of hazardous driving, neglecting to obey traffic rules, driving without plate number and driving without side mirror.

In her decision, Mariam Kings, condemned Mr Muhammed after he confessed to the wrongdoing and asked the court for mercy.

Ms Kings, be that as it may, gave the convict an alternative to pay a fine of N8,000.

Prior, the indictment counsel, Aliyu Yakubu, told the court that the convict rode on an unregistered cruiser and beat the traffic lights.
