SAD! 60-year-old Catholic Cleric Burnt To Death In Anambra Explosion



60-year-old Catholic cleric, Rv. Fr. Edmond Nwagbal, was on Saturday consumed to the point of being indistinguishable in a blast at St. Diminish Claver Catholic Parish, Nnewi ichi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State. 

The Nation accumulated that the blast, which happened around 4 am, was followed to the cleric's room which clamor shook the whole network. 

The blast, which passed over the top of the cleric's room, set fire in the whole room and left the body of the perished broke. 

The perished was said to rest inside the room subsequent to coming back from a voyage when the blast happened. 

Another cleric was said to have continued hazardous wounds after apparently bouncing out from a window and was hurried to an undisclosed clinic. 

The police representative, Haruna Mohammed, affirmed the occurrence. He said the reason for the fire was at this point to be learned. He stated, "Today 16/11/19 at about 04:00am, there was a fire episode at St. Diminish Claver Catholic Parish, Nnewi ichi in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra State. 

"The inferno, which cause is yet to be found out influenced some portion of the Church private structure. Subsequently the area cleric, one Rv. Fr. Edmond Nwagbala, 'm' matured about 60yrs was singed to the point of being unrecognizable inside his room at same premises. 

"Police watch groups joined to Otolo Division drove by the DPO visited the scene and Fire Service office was similarly alarmed; they reacted quickly and put off the fire before it heightened. 

"Then, the unfortunate casualty was hurried to the clinic for medicinal consideration yet confirmed dead on appearance by the restorative specialist and body kept at the funeral home for posthumous assessment. 

"The Commissioner of Police, CP John B. Abang, has requested for a watchful examination to find out conditions encompassing the occurrence." 

The Chief Fire warrior, Engr. Martin Agbili, likewise affirmed the episode. 

"Our men were conveyed quickly to the fire scene and we have contained the circumstance," he said.
