WOW! Meet The Chinese Man Who Added Weight, Gained 100kg During Five-Month Lockdown


A 26-year-antique Chinese man become these days labelled Wuhan’s fattest man after gaining a whopping a hundred kilograms throughout the city’s five-month lockdown.

The man, referred to only as Zhou, to protect his privacy, wasn’t precisely slim before the coronavirus started wreaking havoc in Wuhan, prompting the government to impose a strict lockdown.

But at least he kept his weight in check, worked at a local cafe and led a relatively normal lifestyle. But all that changed whilst Zhou started spending maximum of his time indoors. Unable to burn off any calories, he commenced gaining weight, and in some months’ time, he had ballooned to 616 kilos (280 kilograms), over 200 kilos extra than he weighed earlier than the Covid-19 epidemic.

According to Odditycentral, Zhou’s shocking case became revealed last week, by one of the medical doctors who treated him at the Wuhan University Central South Hospital, along with photos of his admission, on June 1.




He reportedly told the medical doctors that he had not left his home since ever since the lockdown, in January, and that his weight had made it impossible for him to sleep with ease (Comfortably) anymore, which was finally asked for medical assistance.




“Doctor, I haven’t closed my eyes for 48 hours. It’s so uncomfortable. Can you help me?” Zhou allegedly asked Dr Li Zhen, the deputy director of the Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Center of the Central South Hospital of Wuhan University. By that point, he had already contacted different medical doctors, who refused to help him due to his excessive weight.

After a team of paramedics struggled to get Zhou out of his home and into an ambulance, he become admitted into the ICU, where preliminary exams revealed various symptoms, such as coronary heart failure and respiration dysfunction. Unfortunately, his size made it hard for doctors to behavior different needed checks, like blood pressure and EEG. For 10 days, medical doctors tried to stabilise him, and on June 11 he was declared strong and out of immediately danger.

Zhen said that the patient’s obesity become resulting from genetic factors and endocrine abnormalities exacerbated by his state of being inactive and multiplied calorie intake in the course of Wuhan’s five-month lockdown. He stated his crew members had been hopeful that Zhou could be able to lose at the least 50 kilos so he could safely undergo a gastric bypass or belly reduction surgical treatment to assist him shed maximum of the extra weight.
