Four players, Pilot and the president of Brazilian football club killed in a plane crash


It was reported that Four players, the Pilot and also the President of a Brazilian football club has died during a plane crash.

From the reports, It was said that Four Palmas Players were with their President while they were travelling with a small aircraft going to Goiania around 500 miles away from their Brazilian cup game against the Vila Nova on Monday in the Copa Verde.

The club announced that president Lucas Meira, as well as players Lucas Praxedes, Guilherme Noe, Ranule, and Marcus Molinari, all died including the pilot, named as Wagner.

A statement from Palmas said:


‘The plane took off and crashed at the end of the runway at the Tocantinense Aviation Association.

‘We regret to report there are no survivors.’

In 2016, it was reported that a plane crash killed 19 players of the Chapecoense football club. Chapecoense’s plane went down en route to the club’s first-ever South American tournament final in Colombia after it ran out of fuel near Medellin.

“Unfortunately, we know what this moment of pain is like and we wish that no other group had to feel the same,” Chapecoense said in a statement. “You won’t go through this alone.”
