Thousands in India storm the streets demanding justice after an 5-year-old girl was r£ped and Murd£red by a 65-year-old man

A tragic incident in Nasrapur village has sparked widespread anger and protests after the death of a five-year-old girl gr£ped by a 65yr old man.

According to reports, the child had been visiting her grandmother during the holidays when she was last seen playing near the Ram Mandir area on the afternoon of May 1, 2026. When she failed to return home, her family began searching for her, prompting concern among residents.

As the search intensified, locals reviewed CCTV footage, which showed the child being led toward a cattle shed by a man. This discovery provided a crucial lead in the case.

Hours later, the child’s body was found concealed inside the shed, sending shockwaves throughout the community. Police were immediately notified, and an investigation was launched.

Authorities say a suspect—a 65-year-old man—was later identified and taken into custody after villagers located him near a river in the area. He initially denied involvement when questioned.

Police investigations indicate that the accused lured the child before the incident occurred and then attempted to hide evidence by concealing the body. Further checks revealed that the suspect had been linked to previous cases years earlier, raising concerns among residents.

The incident triggered emotional scenes as the child’s body was brought near a local police station. Family members and villagers gathered in large numbers, expressing grief and demanding justice.

Protests soon followed, with residents calling for the harshest possible punishment for the accused. Some demonstrators also raised concerns about how the suspect had remained free despite past allegations.

Law enforcement officers quickly intervened to control the situation and ensure the suspect’s safety while in custody.

A case has been registered under serious charges, and investigations are ongoing. Sandeep Singh Gill, Superintendent of Pune Rural Police, assured the public that the case would be handled with urgency.

He stated that a charge sheet would be filed within 15 days and that the matter would be taken to a fast-track court for swift prosecution.

Court Jails Man for 14 Days for Storing Poo Near Residential Homes

A magistrate court in Kano State has sentenced a man, Mohammed Saidu, to two weeks in prison after residents complained about his habit of storing bags of human waste outside his home, creating severe environmental and health concerns in the community.

The case was brought before the court after several residents reported the offensive odor emanating from Saidu’s property to environmental authorities. Following an investigation, the court found that the waste posed a significant public health risk to people living in the area.

Delivering judgment, Magistrate Halima Wali ordered Saidu to serve a 14-day jail term and pay a fine of ₦100,000. She described his actions as irresponsible and harmful to the well-being of neighboring residents.

According to local sources, Saidu works as a septic tank evacuator and reportedly collects human waste for sale to farmers who use it as fertilizer, a practice that is not uncommon in some communities.

Speaking on the matter, community leader Musa Abdullahi revealed that authorities discovered dozens of bags of human waste on the property when the issue was first reported.

Residents said they had endured the unpleasant smell for an extended period and had repeatedly asked Saidu to stop storing the waste near their homes.

One of the complainants, Samaila Inuwa, said community members initially attempted to settle the issue amicably before involving authorities.

“We spoke to him several times about the problem, but nothing changed,” he said.

Saidu later pleaded guilty in court to endangering public health.

Before delivering her verdict, Magistrate Wali personally inspected the property and confirmed the presence of the waste bags. She subsequently ordered Saidu to remove all the waste from the premises and warned him against repeating the offense.

Residents have expressed relief following the court’s intervention, noting that the environment has become more comfortable and sanitary since the waste was cleared.

Local chief Abdullahi stated that he had previously advised Saidu against storing the waste in the neighborhood and was surprised to learn that the practice had resumed.

He added that community members chose to bypass traditional mediation this time and report the matter directly to government authorities.

According to Abdullahi, maintaining peace and healthy living conditions within the community remains a top priority, and further discussions will be held with both Saidu and residents after his release.

FIFA Responds After Empty Seats Were Spotted During World Cup Opening Matches

FIFA has responded to concerns after empty seats were spotted in sections of stadiums during the opening matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Reports indicated that ticket prices for this year’s tournament started from around $140 for matches involving the 48 participating nations.

Meanwhile, tickets for the World Cup final in New Jersey reportedly began at a staggering $8,680 for standard seating, making it one of the most expensive sporting events to attend.

Following the reactions, FIFA released an official statement explaining that attendance figures are not determined by visual assessments of occupied seats.

The statement read:

“Official attendance figures reflect the number of tickets scanned and spectators present within the stadium footprint, rather than visual assessments of seating occupancy at any given moment during the match.

“FIFA works closely with stadium authorities and ticketing teams to ensure all published figures are based on verified operational data.

“Please note that, during last night’s match in Guadalajara, several ticketed fans could be seen standing in concourses rather than staying in their assigned seats throughout the match.”

To support its explanation, FIFA also released an image showing a largely filled stadium during one of the matches.
