Don’t Let Your Mother or Friends Know What’s Going On in Your Home — Family Advises Son’s Wife to Accept Second Wife

A video currently making the rounds on social media has sparked widespread reactions after showing members of a Ghanaian family advising their son’s wife to accept his decision to take a second wife.

The family, said to be from the Zongo community in the Hausa-speaking part of Ghana, were seen speaking directly to the woman, encouraging her not to allow outsiders influence her thoughts about her marriage.

In the viral clip, the relatives advised the wife not to listen to friends who speak negatively about her husband’s choice to marry another woman. They also urged her to avoid discussing the challenges in her marriage with her mother or other family members, telling her to keep matters within her household.
