A woman has taken to social media to speak out about an alleged assault by her husband following a disagreement.

In a video shared on TikTok, she explained that the situation began when she went to inform her husband—who was out with friends—that there would be an Orò ritual in their area.

Orò is a traditional practice in some Yoruba communities, during which women are expected to remain indoors for safety and cultural reasons.

According to her, when she approached her husband and asked him to return home, he reacted angrily and shouted at her, forcing her to leave the gathering on her own.

She said she later went home, but around midnight, her husband returned and began knocking on the door. She claimed she was afraid to open it, but he allegedly threatened to beat her if she refused.

She added that when she eventually opened the door, he allegedly attacked her and continued until early morning, when neighbours intervened.

The woman also said she sustained injuries to her face and began vomiting blood following the incident.
