Nollywood actress Ayobami Ojo has appealed to Nigerians to stop referring to her as an actress, saying the label has negatively affected different aspects of her life.

In a video shared on social media, Ayobami recounted several experiences where she claimed she faced discrimination because of her profession.

According to her, she once lost a man who was interested in a relationship with her after he found out she was an actress. She alleged that he and others also accused her of using native charms, commonly referred to as “juju.”

The actress also revealed that she missed out on purchasing a property because of her career in the movie industry.

She further claimed that a landlord refused to rent her a space for her business after discovering that she was an actress.

Ayobami said these experiences have left her frustrated, prompting her to plead with Nigerians to stop identifying her solely by her profession.

Popular Big Brother Naija host, Ebuka Uchendu, and his wife, Cynthia Uchendu, have announced that they are expecting their third child together.

The couple shared the exciting news on Instagram, seven years after welcoming their second child. Cynthia reflected on her pregnancy journey, expressing gratitude to God and describing the experience as different from her previous pregnancies.

“Yup! 7 years later and we’re here again. That’s 10 years since my first rodeo…

First of all, it’s so interesting how you think experience makes things easier or more familiar, but they never lied when they said every pregnancy is different. I’m just beyond grateful to God for being my guide through this journey cos omo, what a journey it has been.

Anyway, I’ve always heard that the best things come in threes. Life is about 1) the beginning, 2) the journey and 3) the end. With shapes, 1 stands alone, 2 are parallel lines, but 3 points form an actual shape. A triangle. A unit. Even the Bible talks about the Holy Trinity. So I guess third time’s truly a charm 😍

I’m beyond thankful for JEWEL and RUBI who have been even more excited than me about a new sibling; and for le boo EBUKA who’s been a proper solid rock. I know you thought you were done changing diapers sha,(you are old) lol. Dont worry, at least the fab five is now complete. Or is it? 👀

Lee Andrews has returned to Instagram following his reported release from detention in Dubai, where he was previously held at Al Awir Central Prison over fraud allegations.

In a new post shared on social media, Andrews appeared in an AI-generated video in which he narrated his version of events surrounding his arrest and detention.

According to earlier reports, he had been taken into custody last month in connection with fraud-related concerns. However, in his recent statement, Andrews insisted that he was instead detained on suspicion of espionage.

In the video message, he said:

“Hi everyone this is Lee I’ve been missing now for several weeks and I can now tell you I am now safe and healthy and with my wife.

“I was taken by the Qatar border by the men, at gunpoint and was captured by men with assault rifles, they did slap me round a little bit, little s***s.

“From there I was taken to a black site where I had no use of my phone and from what I know, it was an extended arm of the National Guard and that is all I can reveal at the moment…”

A video currently trending on TikTok has captured the moment a University of Port Harcourt (Uniport) student reportedly turned down her boyfriend’s marriage proposal.

In the viral clip, the young man is seen kneeling down as he presents a ring, apparently asking his girlfriend to marry him.

The real reason behind the arrest of Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, has reportedly emerged weeks after his sudden disappearance.

It was revealed that Lee had been detained on suspicion of espionage after he mysteriously went missing for nearly two weeks.

Days after concerns grew over his whereabouts, Lee’s father reportedly confirmed that he had been taken to prison.

It has now been revealed that Lee’s father was also responsible for arranging a phone call between Lee and Katie Price earlier today, with reports claiming the call was made from a prison phone box.

According to reports from The Sun, authorities have since clarified that Lee was not arrested over spying allegations. Instead, he was reportedly detained over a private civil matter.

Despite the clarification, Katie Price appeared to stand by her earlier claims during a recent episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show.

Speaking on the podcast, she said:

“All I know is that they thought he was a spy, so he’s been interrogated.”

Katie further alleged that Lee had been subjected to intense questioning during his detention.

“Lee’s been interrogated, had hoods on him and all… he hasn’t had his phone, they’ve been mucking around on his phone,” she claimed.

She also addressed rumours involving another woman, described as a “biker babe,” suggesting there had been misunderstandings connected to social media activity.

“What happened with the other woman was apparently she activated her account, and maybe she followed Lee years ago but they never exchanged messages or nothing, so she blocked him. That’s why it’s gone back,” Katie explained.

A lady has sparked reactions on social media after recounting her younger brother’s relationship with a woman who is a member of the Jehovah’s Witness faith, claiming the experience left him with lasting regrets.

In a post shared on X, the woman narrated how her brother became involved with the lady and later discovered that she was pregnant.

According to her, when the pregnancy occurred, her brother reportedly encouraged the woman to keep the baby and not consider an abortion.

However, she alleged that things took a difficult turn after the child was born.

The woman claimed that the child’s mother later denied her brother access to see or spend time with his child unless he agreed to join and worship in her church.

She wrote: “My younger brother secretly dated a Jehovah’s Witness girl and along the line she got pregnant. My brother accepted responsibility immediately. He was ready to take care of both her and the baby.

But the shocking part is this:

The moment she went into labour, she refused to tell him the hospital she was admitted to. After giving birth, she still refused to let him see his own child. According to her, unless he starts worshipping in her church, he will not have access to the baby.

Now tell me, when did religion become a condition for a father to see his child?”
